Solid Waste Disposal |
|
For the collection of solid
waste materials we can provide open or closed containers to meet the
customer requirements. Depending on the density of the waste we can
provide containers with a capacity ranging from 1.6 m³ - 40 m³.
The collected refuse is transported to the Municipality Landfill for
disposal in strict compliance with the rules and regulations of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the
following special designed trucks: |
|
a. Compactor Truck |
These
trucks with hydraulic lifting system and loading capacity from 15
m³ to 26 m³ are used for collection and disposal of compactable
waste from 1.6 or 5.0 m³
(commonly know as 1600 and 5000 liter) roll-containers. The
containers are emptied on location and refuse collected in the
hopper of the truck. Once the truck is full it will proceed to the
dumping area.
The empting of the 1.6 and 5.0 m³ roll-containers are carried out
on a scheduled basis as per customer requirements. This service is
rendered mainly to: Offices, Hotels, Restaurants, Supermarkets,
Camps/Compounds, Warehouses, Stores or any other location where
compactable waste is generated.
|
|
b. Container
Truck |
For
non-compactable trash, such as wood, steel, concrete, etc. open
containers ranging from 5 m³ to 12 m³ can be provided. The size of
the container provided to
the customer depends on the type of waste and density, or the
available area to place the container at the site.
These containers (skips) are collected from the site by the
container truck and transported to the dumping area where the
container is emptied. The container is returned to the customer as
per his request. In most occasions the container is replaced by an
empty container upon arrival of the truck, in order to reduce
travel time. The 5 m³, 8 m³ and 12 m³ containers (skips) are commonly used at:
Construction sits, Workshops, Refinery and Petrochemical Plants,
Factories, etc.
|
| c. Hook Truck |
For
bulk non-compactable trash with a low density, such as wood,
paper, plastic, fiberglass,
etc. open containers ranging from 20 m³ to 40 m³ can be provided.
The size of the container provided to the customer depends on the
type of waste and density, or the available area to place the
container at the site.
These containers (skips) are collected from the site by the hook
truck and transported to the dumping area where the container is
emptied. The container is returned to the customer as per his
request. Due to the large quantity of waste transported the number
of trips or frequency of emptying can be reduced.
The 20 m³, 30 m³ & 40 m³ containers are commonly used at:
Warehouses, Refinery and Petrochemical Plants, Factories, etc.Special modified containers are available or custom made on
costumer requests, such as: Oil Storage Containers, Site Offices,
Tool Containers, Septic Tanks, etc. |

Liquid Waste Disposal
|
|
Sanitary waste water is collected by vacuum trucks and/or tank trailers
and transported to the Municipality Sewage Treatment facilities where it
is been discharged from the tank. |
|
a. Vacuum Trucks
|
The
vacuum trucks are equipped with 3000 US gallon vacuum tank and
vacuum pump with a capacity of 900 m³/hour (air-flow) to remove
sanitary waste water from septic tanks, lifting stations, etc. Furthermore, most of our vacuum truck(s) are fitted with a jetting
pump in order to clean septic tanks and sewer lines of up to 6" in
diameter.
|
|
b. Tank Trailer |
For
removal of sanitary waste water or ground water in large
quantities, tank trailers with a capacity of 8000 US gallon can be
utilized to reduce Customer's overall cost. |
| c. Portable Toilet
Services |
The
portable toilets made from fiberglass with holding tank are
cleaned by our vacuum trucks and the internal surface sprayed with
a disinfectant. These portable toilets are supplied in any number
to construction sites or during shutdowns at Refinery &
Petrochemical sites in order to provide sanitary service for the
manpower on-site. |

Sewer Line Cleaning
|
| a. Jetting Van |
| The jetting van is ideal to work
within the city limited and is mainly used for unplugging the
house connections to the main sewer line or to septic tanks. The
van is very mobile and is equipped with a powerful jetting pump
and small water tank. Sewer lines with diameter ranging from 2" to
8" can be cleaned and/or unplugged successfully. |
| b. Jetting Truck |
The jetting truck is utilized for
cleaning sewer lines with large diameters (from 8" to 32"), mainly
main sewer lines in compounds, cities, and Refinery &
Petrochemical plants. When cleaning the main sewer lines in-coming
water (flow) can be stopped by the use of inflatable plugs, and a
by-pass made.
The jetting truck equipped with a jetting pump (1750 psi; 300 lpm)
is equipped with a hydraulically driven hose reel to pull-back the
1" jetting hose with a length of 100 meter. A large water tank is
truck mounted. |
|
|
Road Sweeper Services |
For
cleaning roads, parking areas, storage areas, etc. we can provide our
road sweeper. The truck is equipped with a vacuum blower, brooms, and
rollers to remove the sand and debris from the surface. To minimize dust
a sprinkler system is fitted. The hopper (approx. 10 m³) is equipped with tail gate and can be tipped
for easy dumping at the designated disposal area.

|
Hazardous Waste Disposal |
Hazardous
waste, mainly oily waste water, oil, oil sludge, acid, paint residues,
solvents, jell, sanitary sludge is collected by our ind'l vacuum trucks
or in sealed drums by our flatbed trailer and transported to the
approved dumping facilities in accordance with the MEPA regulations, in
the following activities: |
|
a. Laboratory
Testing |
| Prior to collection of
the waste (if no MSDS sheet available) a sample is taken and
forwarded to a Laboratory for analysis in order to characterize
the waste and to prepare for the correct disposal and treatment
procedures. |
|
b. Collection
of the Waste |
| The hazardous
waste is collected from the client (generator) and both Service
Order and Waste Manifest filled out and signed by the generator
confirming that the waste was collected by Al Fahhad Zegwaard Co.
|
|
c.
Transportation and Disposal |
The hazardous waste is
transported in bulk by ind'l vacuum truck or in sealed drums by
flatbed trailer to the designated disposal area. Upon arrival at
the dumping facility the waste is checked and Waste Manifest form
completed, in order to confirm that the total quantity and type of
waste was safely received.
During the transportation and handling
of the hazardous waste Al Fahhad Zegwaard Co. takes full
responsibility and an Emergency Response Plan is in place in case
of an accident or spill.
Placards "Corrosive", "Flammable" or "Poison" are used and clearly
posted on the equipment (such as vacuum truck, vacuum trailer,
etc.) at the rear and left side to quickly |
